AVID Employee Benefits
We believe that by receiving an offer to work at AVID Center, you have already proven that you fully meet the qualifications and expectations of the job you are accepting. We bring in everyone above the 50th percentile of the salary range for your role, and our tiered geography approach accounts for employees living in markets with higher costs of labor.
With no physical office, our teams work 100% remotely. We empower employees to live anywhere within the contiguous United States for positions that are not location-specific.
All employees accrue a minimum of 17 days of PTO each year, with increases to accrual based on years of service. We also celebrate 12 paid holidays and a company-wide winter break between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Through our provider, Cigna, we offer a variety of health and welfare plans to support your needs and significantly subsidize the out-of-pocket costs for employees.
AVID contributes 10% to all eligible employees’ 403(b) retirement accounts, starting after 90 days of employment and with a 1-year vesting period. Eligible director-level employees will also receive a $5,000 annual contribution to 457(b) retirement account.
All full-time, regular employees with at least 1 year of continuous AVID Center service are eligible for $5,250 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement for qualifying coursework or certification. Employees also have free access to LinkedIn Learning for asynchronous learning opportunities anytime.
All employees receive an additional $10,000 annual allowance to support them in the most meaningful ways: housing costs, transportation, family expenses—whatever your needs may be.
The Happiness Stipend is a cash benefit that supplements pay for employees earning less than $75,275 after all eligible benefits and earnings are factored into the annual compensation calculation. Research suggests that higher income levels are typically attributed to greater well-being, until the earnings reach about $75,000, at which point salaries are no longer major factors associated with greater levels of well-being.
We equip all employees with the tools they need to work their best. We send all newly hired employees a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, docking station, and other amenities available upon request based on the needs of your role. As a remote employee, you will also receive a monthly home internet stipend.
Our Employee Resource Groups establish virtual environments for employees to discuss topics they have in common, create fellowship with employees navigating shared or similar experiences, and provide allyship to those who seek to learn, support, and share with others.
